Who are you? Kelly Barriball – www.gransloosechange.co.nz

Occupation? Director of gran’s loose change, account manager at v.marketing, freelance writer, blogger and daydreamer.

Your influences past and present? My ever-stylish and ever-so-wise grandmother, books by James Frey, Bret Easton Ellis and Haruki Murakami, a bevy of wonderfully creative friends, music, design and popular culture blogs, creative peers and friends of friends who have gone on to do their own wonderful things (d_luxe jewellery, twenty seven names, Kelly Thompson), photography, quotes, Oscar Wilde, fresh summertime air, idealism, daydreaming, Aloysius, love and light. What shoes and clothes are you wearing? Vintage leather booties, leopard tights, a Cafe top and a vintage fur vest. I’m also wearing my great grandmother’s Cameo ring, a d_luxe Dreamcatcher ring and a Walker & Hall bow ring amongst Diva junky s**t. Where did you get them from? Boots and vest were meant for gran’s loose change but made it to my wardrobe instead, the tights I have had for ages and I think they’re from Cotton On and the top is from WOMEN in Mount Maunganui. D_luxe jewellery can be bought online at www.gransloosechange.co.nz Why have you chosen these shoes + outfit For e.g. Style, Comfort, Fashion? I start with my shoes in the morning and work upwards. These booties are easy to wear with anything so it’s a bit of a mish mash today. I work in an advertising and marketing company so have to dress tidily but I can do so in my own quirky way. I threw on the fur as I left the house because it was cold today. Favourite items or must haves? Oversized black tees or singlets, cosy knits, flat booties and tights are all regulars in my wardrobe. What was the first pair of shoes you just had to have? Jellies with slouch socks.
